ControlFreq doubles down
on mobile technology.
Offering tried and trusted mobile technology solutions backed up by a professional-grade GSM product line up and 24/7 technical support
In an increasingly connected world, it is hard to remember a time when mobile technology did not play its part in our daily lives for all our communication needs. Noel Sesto today reflects on the technological advances and avalanches, as ControlFreq announces the launch of ControlFreq 2.0 - the evolution of GSM technology and the launch of a refined focus for the business.
The advantages of mobile technology and its increasing range of use.
Back in 2007, having recently landed in London, Noel set out a vision as to how mobile technology could solve problems commonly faced by property managers by providing secure ‘temporary user’ access control. Fast forward to today, and Noel explains how we are in a very different place:
"We were ahead of our time back then. It was too early for mobile -based technology for access control. Our GSM intercoms were the start of it".
Noel continues, "We are on the cusp of an explosion in seizing the wider benefits of GSM mobile technology. Legacy systems are being phased out, and secure, contactless, remotely manageable solutions are being phased in, at scale”.
Riding this wave, ControlFreq has continued to evolve.
With a keen appetite for solving technical problems using advanced mobile-connected technology, ControlFreq is well positioned to assist all their traditional and well-cemented markets such as security, fire, and parking, but increasingly other customer segments are seeking mobile tech solutions. When hardware, software and other connected technologies are combined, the results can be instantly impactful.
The benefits can be so diverse including greater security, genuine ‘remote’ control, simplicity of operation, and overall reduced costs.
A professional mobile-first technology ecosystem that is tailored to fit.
Noel describes what he calls ControlFreq 2.0:
“ControlFreq is continually sharpening its offering. The future of our business is to work directly with trade partners . The trade can be specifiers, installers, or integrators. They are seeking system solutions for their clients. Our experience is valuable to them, across access control, alarm event communications or fault reporting and remote monitoring".
Expanding further Noel explains "Our commitment is to satisfy our customers' needs using off-the-shelf GSM systems – but taking it one step further with customisable or bespoke versions.”
The future direction for the business has been supported via local innovation programs.
As ControlFreq plans for the future, the business has been nurtured for a number of years by a Brighton-based technology innovation hub called PlusX.
PlusX is the final incarnation of a pilot project called FIELD back in 20xx. Shortly after PlusX opened in 202x ControlFreq joined a world-class innovation program called INSPIRE.
INSPIRE is run in collaboration with Brighton University, as part of the BRITE (Brighton Research Innovation Technology Exchange) series of innovation support programs offered by PlusX Brighton.
Design, development and pilot-tests are leading to a broad range of installations.
ControlFreq are currently supporting a 700+ store rollout for a global high street retailer, working with the client’s trade integrator to implement the retrofit solution taking over from one of the industry’s leading brands. ControlFreq designed, developed, and pilot-tested a custom-designed bespoke web-based monitoring platform to operate with existing off-the-shelf 4G hardware, before being awarded the rollout.
Take Control. Remotely.
Today ControlFreq launches a new website, offering a universally adaptable GSM product offering, solution & service’ for organisations with unrivalled 7-day technical support for trade and integrators.
As a trade installer, tech integrator or a digital transformer, in need of some mobile expertise to solve a technical challenge, now is the time to look at both ControlFreq's products and turnkey solutions.
Solution Discovery calls can be scheduled online, or Noel and the team would always be just as happy to see you in person to discuss your future project.
