How it works · with WebAlarm cloud

From panel to phone, in one path.

WebAlarm is optional. It logs fire, panic, intruder, leak and equipment-failure alarms in real time, alerts on mains power, battery and signal loss, and posts to your Slack channels by default. It also takes Contact-ID and SIA-DC09 signals from devices made by others.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which alarm panels does it work with?
It works with any alarm panel, fault detection system or sensor. It has 4 configurable alarm inputs, 4 configurable outputs and a PSTN simulator (phone line out), and it can signal to ARCs using DC09 or Contact-ID.
What SIM card do I need?
It takes a micro SIM. For full functionality use a SIM that supports voice, SMS and data. Data-only SIMs work, but voice call alerts are not supported. For coverage across all four UK networks, use the optional EvolveSIM.
How are alarms sent?
By SMS, voice call, email, and DC09/Contact-ID to an Alarm Receiving Centre. With WebAlarm, alerts also go to your Slack channels by default. There is no app to install: WebAlarm runs in a phone browser, so engineers can test units on site.
Do I need WebAlarm?
No, WebAlarm is optional. Without it the communicator can still send SMS and voice alerts to user handsets and signal to an ARC. WebAlarm adds live alarm logging (fire, panic, intruder, leak, equipment failure and more), mains, battery and signal alerts, Slack notifications, remote configuration, multi-site management and reports you can export to CSV or XLS.
How do I configure it and keep it up to date?
Configure it by web or SMS. The web dashboard works on a phone, so engineers can set up and test on site. SMS commands are also useful for quick status checks. Firmware updates are delivered over the air (F-OTA).
What power does it need?
Without a backup battery it runs from a 12–24V DC supply. With the optional 12V 1.2Ah backup battery connected, it needs 13.8–15V DC. It draws 250mA when transmitting and 40mA when idle.
What warranty does it come with?
The PRO+4G comes with a 3-year warranty.
