Truly excellent customer service… We bought a GSM intercom about 7 years ago and it’s been pretty much bulletproof until today (or so I thought!) It had stopped dialling when the button was pressed, wouldn’t respond to any SMS commands and there was a quiet buzz coming from the speaker. I feared the worst. After cycling the power off and on in time-honoured IT department fashion, and after removing and reinserting the SIM, I called ControlFreq expecting bad news, “sorry we can’t help you”, “you’ll need to upgrade” or some other expensive variant of reply. Steve spent some time on the phone with me, advising and trying to diagnose the issue but when there were no signs of life from the internal LEDs, the system was pronounced dead. Steve then suggested that maybe there wasn’t power getting to the system which I was pretty skeptical about because how else would it have the power to make a buzzing noise, right? However, swapping the 12v supply that’s been doing the job perfectly well for 7 years sorted the issue immediately and our system is working perfectly again. How many other places can you go for this kind of help and advice on a product that was bought 7 years ago and has probablyj been superseded several times over? That’s truly excellent customer service! Thanks

I've used th G1-3G and G1-3GW 3G remote opens and they are great products with good technical support. The administration plans for their GSM openers are a little pricey if you need to alter authorised users a lot but you can do this by text message for free. I've tried a few mobile phone remote relays and these are by far the most polished product with a great set of features and ease of use.

LANDLINE-4G | GSM communicator for BT landline retrofit

The LANDLINE-4G is a retrofit GSM communicator is designed to provide a simulated landline to any 3rd party system requiring a PSTN connection.

Ideal for replacing landline sockets requirement by many devices such at lift phones, ATM machines, vending machines, intruder alarms & telemetry systems.

The connecting phone equipment will not detect the difference between a traditional fixed PSTN line and the simulated GSM alternative provided by LANDLINE-4G.

An ideal and very simple retrofit solution designed to resolve issues associated with the BT fixed line switch off in 2025.

LANDLINE-4G requires no configuration whatsoever. Simply insert the SIM card, plug the unit in and dial tone will be present after approximately 30 seconds.

It couldn’t be easier to replace a landline and at a fraction of the annual running cost. Upgrade any landline system in less than 1 hour!

For applications such as emergency lift phones, it is highly recommended to adhere to the requirements of BS EN81-28 for remote communications.
